PHILIPP / SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT / 2026

I’m Philipp, and I build practical applications with a focus on Python, APIs, and local-first learning tools. My work covers the path from problem definition to reproducible deployment.

PROJECTS

Systems built around concrete work and learning problems.

Two learning tools with different system boundaries: LectureMind as a web application and LectureVault as a local Windows client.

WEB APPLICATION / IN DEVELOPMENT

LectureMind

LectureMind turns course material into structured lessons and practice while recording learning progress in one place.

PERSONAL PROJECT · PROTECTED ACCESS

OPEN SYSTEM
LMSCHEMATIC
LEARNING WORKFLOW
Workflow: A course sheet is selected, opens into a structured lesson, a practice question grows out of it, and progress is recorded.
LVSCHEMATIC
LOCAL-FIRST
Workflow: Material is selected from course and practice sheets, stored locally in the archive, and used in the trainer.
WINDOWS DESKTOP / BETA 1.4.0

LectureVault

LectureVault brings selected course and practice material into a Windows client: stored locally, available offline, and reviewable in the built-in trainer.

INSTALLABLE EXE · 45 AUTOMATED TESTS

DOCKER COMPOSE · PHP · MARIADB
DETAILS

A legacy PHP/MariaDB codebase running locally in a containerized Docker Compose environment.

ENGINEERING PRACTICE

The work doesn’t end at the commit.

I structure changes in three phases: build, validate, and operate. Only tools I have used in practice are listed.

BACKGROUND

Technical curiosity came first. Responsibility turned it into a reliable way of working.

It started with online games. Over time, I became interested not only in what happened on screen, but in how the servers, databases, and mechanics behind it worked.

As a teenager, I worked on MySQL databases and server infrastructure in non-commercial community projects. It also sharpened my security mindset: when I encountered weaknesses, I reported them responsibly to the appropriate organizations.

After 23 months of voluntary service as an IT soldier in the German armed forces, I spent eight years as a civilian patrol officer with a US Forces police unit in Germany. The work taught me to assess situations systematically, document decisions so others could follow them, and remain dependable under pressure.

Moving into software development is therefore not a fresh start, but a deliberate continuation. Today I combine technical understanding with a way of working that aims for systems that are not only functional, but clear, secure, and resilient.
